Birthday card - flower in blue

Wednesday, 24 August 2011

Hi, I am so excited to create this card, because this card is for myself!!! Why I say so? because I would like to participate this week's CASE challenge, and I browsed through the blog (uhm...almost the whole blog!) of Chupa and found out that she can create a new card almost every day!!! What a great productivity! There are so many amazing cards that I cannot make my mind to choose only one. Then an idea came to my about casing the card that posted on my birthday? Then I can create a birthday card for myself?
What a suprise, when I clicked my birth "day", I found out that there were 3 cards, and 2 of the 3 were for birthday. nice !!!

Finally,  I chose this card to CASE!

Here is my creation:

I try to preserve the layout as Chupa did, but my flower is too big, so I make a rectangular frame for it.

My blue tone is different from Chupa's card, as I want to have a brighter color here.

I also apply glitters  over the flower

Birthday card - It's tea time

Inspiration photo from the Shabby Tea Room

Hi...another new card this week, this card is inspired by Shabby Tea Room of using a tea theme with blue and green. I have seen alot of teapot cards among the crafting world. It's one of the hot theme to create on. But suprisingly, I haven't made one by myself!!! So, I looked up all my stamps and digi to find the tea theme elements.  It's always a fun to look for "pearls" over your treasure box.

This week, Stampin' Sister in Christ wants us to use something from your stash that you 'just had to have' cause you would use it everyday....but have forgotten about...

Actually, I am a kind of "tea-holic" person, need a cup of tea every morning. But I haven't made anything out of my favourite! I think the creation of this card just fit the theme of SSIC :=)

Heehee...I like the flower very much, because it was the wrapping paper of a pair of new shoes. I think the pattern is quite nice, so I keep it till now and turn it into a flower. The sentiment and the cup image was stamped on a piece of tracing paper and I tear it to create a more casual look. Hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by :=)

I enter my card to the following challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room (Tea for 2, using tea theme with blue and green)

Birthday card - full of blossoms

Tuesday, 9 August 2011

Oh... I needed to prepare an important assignment at work last week, so haven't made any cards. It's really "itching" to make cards again. Tonight, I tried to do a simple one layer card (ah..ha, not really my style :=P), but I want to explore new things out of my comfort zone.

I CASEd the card from Cristina. She is really gifted at cardmaking !!!

Here is her card (So great!!!)

Here is my take:

A totally different approach... but I hope you can see the inspiration of using border stamps and the color choice (one row pink and one row red). It's also the first time to use copic markers! Really too green in this area, but it's interesting throughout the coloring process :=)

A little pop-up flower :=)

Thanks for visiting my blog!
